NCAA Moves Men's 3-Point Line Back as Part of Rule Changes for 2019-20 Season
some of the new rules for 2019-20:
-according to Greg Johnson of NCAA.com, the line will be placed 22'1¾" away from the basket in Division I, a change from the 20'9" that has been in place since 2008.
-shot clocks will only reset to 20 seconds after an offensive rebound instead of the usual 30
-Coaches will also get the opportunity to call live timeouts in the final two minutes of regulation and overtime
-players will now be given technical fouls for derogatory language toward an opponent.

Interesting stuff. I can’t really see the point in the shot clock deal though - a rebound establishes a new possession, and all possessions should afford the same shot clock; whether it’s this end of the floor or that one is immaterial IMO. As for the technical adjustment, I’d be fine if they would go back to enforcing existing tech rules such as not letting guys hang from the rim and do chin ups after dunks.

Looks like they are trying to speed up the game and give more possessions for some reason. I never thought college basketball games were too long but I can't see what else this rule change will do.
