Do I use it, yes.
I like that it eliminates most if not all of the adds. If you already use Chrome as your browser, it looks and acts just like chrome, without the adds. Some sites look funny without any adds (like this board), but you get used to it. It takes a while to get used to the big blank spaces on some sites, where the adds are usually placed.
I like it, and I haven't had any ill effects from using it. It does for free, what most add blockers do for a fee. I just put it there for folks that might be interested, I've seen the browser advertised in several places, so I thought I'd give it a try. So, it's like using chrome, without any adds.
I'd also tell you to use it at your own risk, I've used it for over a month without any problems, so I think it's legit.

Jerry, I use it too. I like Brave and I also use another browser called Vivaldi. However, I do not have a lot of of pop ups even when using Chrome and Firefox but I think it might be because I use Ubuntu Mate as my kernal/operating system. I am a Linux guy. Hail to the Penguin .

Not sure if you were talking about my post when you were saying "Umbrella what" When I said Hail to the Penguin, although that was funny as I am thinking Batman villain, lol. But as this is Catamount board I won't get too deep into it. But Linux is another computer software operating system like Apple, and Windows. Linux is open source, where as Apple and Windows are not. As it is open source and anyone can take the source code and make their own Operating System out of it, there are numerous ones. Probably the most commercial successful that is much like a traditional Windows or Apple computer would be Ubuntu (or its derivatives and there are so many) or Fedora (which is maintained by the Red Hat Corporation whose Headquarter is in Raleigh), but there are so many more Arch Linux, Linux Mint, I could go on and on and on. It does everything basically that Windows will do, Internet, Netflix, Kodi, even Office Suites (you can install MS Office) but it comes with the free LibreOffice. Firefox, Chrome and Brave (which is the topic of this post) are recommended browsers for Linux, as Brave is Open Source too. Oh and another cool thing about Linux, very, very, very rare that those computers will ever get a virus. Oh and Tux the Penguin is the Linux Mascot, much cooler than an annoying window or a bitten Apple lol.

Ha! I know what Linux is. Worked for several companies that used it to support their applications. I must be getting old though because I've never heard of Ubuntu Mate (what I referred to as Umbrella). Good reference to the Penguin though...

I must be getting old though because I've never heard of Ubuntu Mate (what I referred to as Umbrella). Good reference to the Penguin though... Cool, I could go on hours and hours about Linux. Ubuntu Mate is an official derivative of Ubuntu. It basically is a refined Gnome 2 desktop interface as Ubuntu (main) uses Gnome 3 now and got away from Gnome 2 when they went to Unity for years. Gnome 2 looks more like a traditional desktop without being fancy and it does not use as many hardware and resources as stock Ubuntu. Its great for older computers while not looking as boring and as basic as say a Lubuntu or even Xubuntu would be (those two remind me of a late 90s desktop (Lubuntu) or early to mid 2000s desktop interface (Xubuntu). But those are great if you want to put an old and outdated computer back to use. ubuntu-mate.org/

Just wanted you guys to know it's been well over a year now and I'm still using Brave. Works like Chrome, but no ads.
You can pay for an ad blocker, or get one free with Brave.

I have been using DuckDuckGo for about six months. I was telling the Admin yesterday - suddenly images posted on the board (like Catamount Club announcements) don't appear in posts with DDG. However, when I use my work computer with Chrome, those images do appear. Should be similar with Brave. I'm going to give Brave a shot.
