The WCU coaches certainly did a FINE job getting this team ready to play a Division II team. I hope Speir is proud of himself and his coaching staff. Chancellor Brown, I certainly hope you've seen enough to make some changes. This is an embarrassment to every person that ever graduated from Western Carolina. We need someone that will stop putting lipstick on this pig. You can't make any changes... Speir's contract is too large to buy out at the current moment

Just when I think our Football program can't get any worse, the Cats prove me wrong. Losing to N. Greenville at the half is just simply unacceptable. Where is the sense of urgency? Where is the Pride? Where is the accountability? It all starts at the top with our fine AD who is clearly incapable of running an athletic department!

I don't know if they don't trust Will to throw the ball down the field or what. Hook keeps talking about how efficient he has been, but 95% of his completions have been at the line of scrimmage (or behind). At the same time, as we have tried to run some slower-developing pass plays late in the 2nd quarter it has not looked very good.
Will is probably the guy we will have to count on, but with the way the redshirt rule works now I have changed my mind and we should see Richardson play in at least 4 games to get him some experience and to know what we will have for next year. And I would say one of those games should be this one - if they don't do something great in the 2nd half I hate to see what this board (and the stands) will look like going forward.
Tyrie has really let this team down, but just think how bad the Mercer game might have been had he not played in that one.

You can see hesitation when scrambling and throwing the ball.

I’m a huge Gary Ayers fan and always will be, but I’m a little embarrassed for him when he tries to rationalize this nonsense by saying how good North Greenville is. There isn’t a single Socon team other than us that wouldn’t have closed this game out by now. It’s obvious we won’t win any conference games this year, but I still think we’ll pull this one out and find a way against GW to finish 2-10. That fires me up, who’s with me ??

have the Citadel and Furman coach been there in less time that Spiers. This is the 4th year for Thompson at Citadel, and Hendrix is in his 3d year at Furman.

Maybe all that talk about going to D2 isnt so bad. Right now. Today. We are on that level.
You cant spin it any other way. Not unless we score 40 plus in the 2nd half and pitch a shutout.

This team was picked in the preseason to come in 7th place in the GSC. The talk about how good this team is is just that, talk. I'm saying it's good we are not playing the 1 or 2d place team in the GSC.

I am leaning toward not coming to any more football games until they fire Randy Eaton - his leadership has made our Athletic Program a laughing stock and you Mucky muck BOT’s should have gotten rid of him years ago. I have a degree from WCU with daughters that have -one a degree and the other has two degrees from WCU. What you BOT have allowed our school athletics to come to over your wine and cheese hobnobs is embarrassing. You need to start by getting serious about athletics or you are going to be the only spectators for WCU events - and that won’t pay the bills - just try having sports teams without fans!
