51-30 Cats at the half. The guys came out of the gates a little sloppy with 9 turnovers in the first half. Cats settled in nicely, shooting 58% from the floor. This team is dangerous from 3 point range, shooting 50% from behind the arc. DJ Campbell is leading the way with 12 first half points. Woolbright is not far behind adding 11 points and Tre Jackson with 10. Charles Lampten is looking like a grown man out there with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Dalton State is defiantly lacking the size to be physical with him and he is making them pay. He's been very good on the glass and finishing around the basket. Love to see the cats take care of the ball and turn up the defensive intensity in the second half.

Watching on ESPN+. Good summary of the first half. Man, I wish we still had Tyzhaun Claude on our roster.

Watching on ESPN+. Good summary of the first half. Man, I wish we still had Tyzhaun Claude on our roster. If Claude had stayed, then there would be nothing stopping us from taking home the SoCon title. Lampten has been very impressive thus far.

Cats win 106-65. Cats were able to cruise to a dominate victory behind Woolbrights team leading 19 points. DJ Campbell finished with 18 points and Tre Jackson finished with 12. The Cats shot 57% from the field and shot 45% from 3 point range. Lots of questions came in regarding who was going to replace Claude but I think we have two answers to that question. Charles Lampten and Corneilous Williams looked more then impressive in this one. Lampten finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds while Corneilous Williams finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. The Cats got great production from the bench with Bernard Pelote leading the way with 14 points. Kamar Robertson the transfer from Mercer played very well in the 2nd half and gives the Cats much needed depth in the guard position. This was a good game to start the season, allowing us to shake off the rust before heading to South Bend to take on Notre Dame on Saturday at 2pm.

Cats played well. Nice shooting. Hopefully Williams or Lampten will have the scoring abilities that Claude had. Lampten is certainly a shot blocker and will be a nuisance in the paint for opposing teams. Nice to have some depth at those spots. Go CATS!
