What a heck of a game that turned out to be. That was probably the most exciting second half I have ever watched on TV. Would have loved to have been there in person. The Cats played an extremely strong second half. 55 points in the second half is crazy. Bernard Pelote was a huge spark off the bench last night. Pelote got hot in the tournament last season and we will need him to do it again if we want to get to the conference final. The coaches are going to have to find a way to stop JP Pegues. Pegues was torching us from deep. I can't wait for the rematch in Asheville.

I don't think we will have a rematch with Furman unless we both make it to the championship game. We would have to beat UTC this Saturday on the road to meet Furman in Saturday's quarterfinals because Wofford has the tiebreaker with us for fifth place. (They beat Samford). And, I don't think Furman will lose to Mercer this Saturday and I cannot see Wofford losing to VMI on Saturday. I think we will play either UNCG or Chattanooga in the 6:00 pm game in the Saturday quarterfinals. Not sure who has the tiebreaker for UNCG and Chattanooga for second and third place.

I am ok with playing Chatt or UNCG on Saturday. UNCG will not beat us 3 times in one year especially in the tournament. Even if Chatt beats us Saturday and I am not conceding that, they will not beat us in Asheville. We have the best player in the conference by several miles and the best backcourt in the conference. Samford has depth but their starters are not as talented as our starters. We can beat Samford in Asheville, especially if we play them in the finals. Asheville will be a home game for us if we make it to the finals because Samford is so far away and they don’t really have a fanbase to compare to what we can bring to Asheville.
