Everyone needs to stop at wally world in Sylva and check put their WCU tailgating section. They are now selling Western Purple and Gold canopies,WCU tailgating chairs, purple coolers, and even the purple and gold Bud Light cans. The canopies are like $129 dollars which is almost half of what I paid for one in the student store last year. It is nice to finally be able to purchase gear in other places. GO CATS Glad to see they are finally in the WCU spirit

Wish I could have set up beside you yesterday. The parking situation made it impossible. I really was amazed at how poorly the campus planned the whole tailgating. I just wish it was planned better especially since this game had the beginnings of many so things. With the hype about the new coach, new AD, better recruits, largest freshman class, and don’t forget the start of a new season, I guess I was expecting a whole lot more than I saw . Looking out in the parking lot it just had that feeling that nobody was there. I for one missed that vibe from the student section of the parking lot. Even when the band marched to the stadium I thought it very unusual that they turned to an empty parking lot and played. Could not find a program which is one thing I really wanted to have. Watched people walk up to the ticket booth to purchase tickets only to find it closed. Enjoyed the game !! We have that look of a team that enjoys playing together. Go Cats!!!!

Once again, I think they did an pretty good job of planning, given the circumstances.
Everything about the weekend was done to accommodate the students. Since Monday is Labor Day and they realize EVERY student would depart Cullowhee on Friday, the game was left for a Thursday, to enable students to see the game. They later start time was due to the class schedule, to enable students to clear the Catamount Club lots, and the student tailgate are was moved to the intramural field (this game only) to give students earlier access to a place to setup and get started with their tailgates. All in all, I for one, think it was well planned, and went off well.
The remainder of the games should go smoother, as the student will clear the lots on Friday, and the student tailgate will return to the the Jordan-Phillips lot.

Yea, It was a little different. Are y'all going to be setting up over there all season or will you be joining us some? We really like the ability to spread out over where we are now. We came over to your spot but no one was there but Renee. I think we're going to make the trip down to Wofford, would love to have y'all join us!

We are (the people of the Left Field Lunatics) goign to be tailgating each weekend, did last game against Mars Hill. We wanted to invite everyone to come down to our spot, which should be around FPAC if spots allow, to say hi and discuss some BASEBALL!!! We know its football season and love it all the same, however we dont want to get rusty for our baseball season and thought this was the best way to do so. Free food and beer to all Baseball players and alumni! Of course id required!

We remind everyone to come out and join us this Saturday at the Catamount Fans Tailgating Club’s tailgate in the grassy area beside the FPAC building. Play some cornhole, enjoy a few ice cold beverages and talk Catamount football. We are under the Catamount tents and the Western flag will be flying high. Come and join us!
