One is guilty, one is not. I guess it depends on which is guilty, and which is not guilty.

Obviously I dont know the particulars, but I could go on a lengthy rant about how these actions are a mirror of the entitlement culture we have bred as a society. Too many people have looked the other way when athletes do wrong. Its not my place to judge these young men but they need to pay the price for there actions and unfortunately the rest of the WCU team and community now have to as well. Yank the scholarships, off the team and out of school. The world is full of other higher learning institutions for them to play basketball and get a degree if they choose. I really thought we would be in contention for a conference title this year, not a good way to start the season We do have a chance at the title this year with our Seniors along with our fresh, sophs and jr team members. This team has it to rise to the top for a NCAA bid if they really work and want it.

I really don't care what you think, but I am so tired of people placing one player on a pedestal and acting like it only takes one person to win a basketball game! Playing as a team is what wins games, and this last game proved that they all have something to offer! They have won 2 games without Trey, and they will win more if they have to, without him. This is a different year, and they are more experienced now.

Any team that loses a "Player of the Year" candidate will be hurt. I certainly hope other team members can and will step-up.
But, trying to act like we don't need both Sumler and Mendenhall is not dealing with the reality of the situation.

Sometimes its the media, fans, school admin that blow up a player and leave the 'team' and a chance for a championship out far away. The school and the coaches have to back all our players to develop their full game.

I would rather have a losing season and WCU keep its ethics intact
