From the Furman board....
This is not a good situation for those WCU fans that were planning on attending the Mercer game.
Spoke to both Furman and Mercer's ticket offices. Mercer is not offering tickets to Furman or any other SoCon school for sale through our universities. I understand that Mercer did provide the complimentary tickets for player's families, which they are required to do under their contract with the SoCon.
From Mercer, I understand that the tickets have not gone on sale for that game. I do not believe the game is "sold out" as yet, so there should be available seats, both bleacher and grass seats, for Furman fans that want to purchase tickets to the game through Mercer's online sales. The gentleman there opined that the athletic dept. will let them know when tickets are to go on sale, and advised that we watch the online system.
Hope we spread the word when those seats come available and fill that stadium with Furman fans.
