When Troy broke loose in the final seconds of the ball game yesterday, instead of trying to put a move on the final defender and possibly scoring another TD. He decided to slide down and protect the football. Two things came to my mind when he did that: 1) He was mature enough to know that the game was over and he needed to protect the ball. 2) He was classy enough not to try to run up the score on an opponent. A True Class Act!

How right you are.
I think that originates from Coach Speir. The players will take their cues from the head coach. I remember thinking that last week in the game against Mercer when the Cats opted to run out the clock, rather than attempt scoring drives on their last two possessions of the game.

I had a friend at work who was at the game (fellow alum) tell me about that today. That's a smart and classy move on his part and a bit surprising as well. A lot of players might not have presence of mind to even consider doing that.
