Wednesday night - Game 2 of the series in Arlington vs. the Rangers. Astros lost another close one.... 2-1. Lost 7-5 last night.
Astros' only run was a solo HR by Tyler. He was 1 for 4 tonight. Only Astros starter with BA over .300 so far this year. Astros, as a team, are struggling at the plate right now. 5-10 record is not what folks are expecting from a team that made the playoffs last year. This series vs. the Rangers is very important since they are both in the AL West. And also in-state rivals.
Finish the Rangers series tomorrow night before going back to H-town to host the Boston Red Sox.

Astros have been struggling mightily due to inconsistent pitching and weak hitting with RISP.
Tyler has batted .133 for the past 3 weeks after starting off like a house on fire.
Tonight, the Astros are in Chicago after taking it on the chin at Fenway Park over the weekend. His parents went to Boston for the weekend, but Tyler only started one of the 3 games. PH in one of the other games.
The game in Chicago is tied 3-3 in the 7th inning. In the 2nd inning, Tyler came up with runners on 1st and 2nd and was called out on strikes. The White Sox pitcher was Carlos Rodon who was an All-American at NC State and a first-round pick in the 2014 MLB Draft. In the 4th and in the 6th, he hit solo HR's (both off Rodon), accounting for 2 of the 3 Houston runs.
In the 8th inning, Tyler doubles to LF to lead off the inning and was replaced by a speedy PR. That run came around to give the Astros a 4-3 lead.
In the 9th inning, the inconsistent pitching strikes again and the Astros Closer allows a run to score. Tied 4-4 and I've got to go to bed. Good night for the Great White... 3 for 4; all extra base hits.
