Instead of a little payback, this one is shaping up to be a worse beating than the first two.

I say it pretty hard to play against the refs. They are killing us and not getting called, while we are getting touch fouls.

Well, Parham and Patel have 46 combined too. I was afraid of this; considering how little difference there was between the first two games ( ie., no difference) and our inability to defend their shooters, that there would be no magic adjustments to be made in this one. Oh well.

Oh well. 88, I guess WCU does not have the talent to match up with the other schools in the SoCon. I sure hope Coach is successful in recruiting some Point Guards & some true Centers. The Cats desperately need some big men on the inside to compliment the three point shooters. Dotson is more a Power Forward & not a true Center.

I had been more optimistic earlier on in the season. This team was seriously flawed but it seemed like Coach Prosser was going to take them to some wins. Unfortunately things ended up being quite abysmal. The current roster is really weak, and this team is not built to win. The Cats desperately need some size and capable point guards. With what we have, it's hard to really make a judgement on Prosser's coaching ability. 7 wins is awful, but this program was at a serious low before he got here.
Here's to hopes for a better future team.

Athletics at Western Carolina has been terrible this year, except for track and field. Football was bad, women's basketball was awful, men's basketball was bad and baseball is suspect.
It all falls on the shoulders of the AD, but no one at Western Carolina is held accountable, not the AD or the coaches. They are given extensions for poor performance. That's just the way it's played in Cullowhee. Too bad we don't have a kick-ass chancellor.

If he is unable to bring in players that can match up with the top talent in the SoCon, it will be a bad situation for the Young New Coach. It is always hard to determine how good a Coach will be when you have no or little data on a Coach that has no experience in the job you are hiring him to perform. I hope the basketball coach turns out to be a great Coach. Only time will tell.
