It would be interesting if he went to Appy State. Maybe he'll join his brother Zach at North Georgia, a Div II team. I never did find out why Zach left Appy State, probably lack of playing time.
Just my opinion, but I think he probably thinks there will be less playing time next season when Mason Faulkner is eligible to play.

I would not think he would go to App after his brother leaving there. His brother got much less playing time at Appy than Josh did at Western. Coach used him as a roll player this year and maybe he does not think he will get enough playing time going forward. He was the star in HS so maybe he misses that. I think his brother will be a senior at North Georgia so maybe he is going there. I believe since they are D2 he would not have to sit out a year but not sure about that either.

Hmmm. First time I have used this board. Big loss for WCU and Prosser. If I remember he signed before Prosser arrived. I saw quite a few games this season and really was excited about his future. Made an impact about everytime he entered ballgame. Thought he was better than Halverson. I know a lot of people around me really liked watching him play. Hate it for Western. Maybe things arent as good as we thought with WCU and Prosser. Won 7 games with virtually same team Hunter won 13 with last season. Losing kids like this are usually for a reason we wont know about until its to late. He was certainly a good player for us. Never want to lose a good player and good students. Gotta be more to the story.....

Does anyone else remember his big commitment speech to the ACT? “I always imagined playing for Western, even as a kid I dreamed of playing at RAC” and blah blah blah. Not trying to bash the guy, but I am a little embarrassed for him. If playing for us was THAT important to him, he’d be glad to be on the team. As his grandfather once famously said after some kid asked to transfer, “Playing time is non-negotiable”. Good luck to him. I hope he goes somewhere (other than Watauga County) and lights it up for three years.

Too many to compete with now and in the future. I saw every home game this past year except 3 and I wondered where his minutes were going to come from next year with what we have and what we have coming in. I hate it because of the ties to the school by his family, but he would never be an impact player at Western.

I think we all know he can light it up. I thought he was a really nice guard for us.. Hunter was no fool.. Whatever his reason, certainly hope he does well for the next 3 years. Seems like there might be more going on here than we might want to know. Has anyone else heard about Catamount club function (golf) and a few of the asst. coaches making fools of themselves? Or, the possible problems with one of their best players having a few restraining orders? Can anyone clear these rumors up? Heard player and coaches thought it was funny.....Might not be anything to it...But...

If you are referring to Charlotte it’s untrue. I was around all the coaches all day in Charlotte and I don’t recall a single one doing anything other than talking to everyone there. Players are not at these events. Usually Prosser and Speir do not stay the whole event. They usually have other obligations, visits etc that they have to leave early for. In Charlotte I don’t recall and basketball coaches there. Carlton, Banks, Chad Miller, Speir (for a little while) and that was about all.
