New Belgium is brewing a beer for NC State called "old Tuffy" (the mascot) and features his image on the label. Who should brew the official beer of WCU? What would you call it? I have some ideas but I want to hear yours first. I'm sure there are a number of wcu alums working in the brewing industry.

Innovation or Balsam Falls would be the natural partners. Wild Cat IPA? Paws Pilsner? Cooney Kolsch?

I’ll give it a whirl: Stillwell Stout? Brown’s Nut Brown Ale? Camp Labatt’s Pilsner? Benton Twisted IPA? Killian’s Annex Red? ( Might want to run that last one by Legal first).
And YES, I plan on keeping my day job.

If not mistaken Balsam Falls just completed a batch of Cullowheat.
And for those not local, Nantahala Brewing just opened up off of Mills St. in Sylva, and Lazy Hiker will also be opening on Main Street sometime later in August. Plenty of craft beer flowing in Sylva and Dillsboro these days for all Catamount fans.

What's your thoughts on whether WCU would or should license a beer to be sold at athletic events.

The brewer had to worn everyone to be careful with it. It was so smooth it would fool you.
