I got to play golf with Keith, Frank Broyles and Stan Olenik (Spartanburg, Channel 7) at Wild Dunes the day before the game. Every time Keith would hit a ball in a hazard or rough, I would yell one of his trademark line..."Fumble!". What a class act he was to work with. I still have my ABC hat and banner from the game.

Can anyone put the Furman game from a week earlier on here?
I recorded it from the TV on my VCR but cannot find the cartridge.

Thanks Jerry, I had time to watch it, also like it when the commercials were still in the recording. I was a history major at WCU and the nostalgia of old times, still interests me like those commercials and seeing Bob Waters etc. When this game was played I was only 3 years old. It is great to watch but bittersweet as the outcome is still sad  . |

I remember watching this game on tv. I kept having to go out to the antenna on the bank and turn it while my dad hollered out the window when the reception got better.
