Bobby Lamb's son, Taylor is the new QB coach for GWU. I just wonder how all these new coaches can fill their staffs so quickly, and we don't hear a peep out of Speir about his open positions?
Gardner Webb: Per source, head coach Tre Lamb has filled his staff with the following hires; Josh Reardon (DC), Bennett Houston (special assistant to the HC), Taylor Hennigan (STC), Jake Thornton (OL / run game coordinator), Taylor Lamb (QBs), Kelsey Pope (WRs), Dominique Davenport (RBs / co-STC), Tyler Dell (player personnel / recruiting), and Jordan Miller (TEs GA). We understand Lamb is still interviewing to fill two defensive positions and a graduate assistant spot.

two things that popped out. Isn't Taylor Lamb the one who was the starting QB at App in front of Zeb Spier? Also didn't Jake Thornton play for us like 2 years ago?

Yes, and yes.
That is Bobby's son that played for App State, and yes we had a Jake Thornton, and coach.
"A three-year starter along the Western Carolina offensive line, Jake Thornton enters his first season as an assistant on the Catamount coaching staff, working with the offense as a quality control coach. He assumed the role following the conclusion of his playing career at the end of 2015, working alongside his former position coach, John Holt, during spring drills. He will be involved in aiding film study, game breakdowns, and assisting the offensive coaches on game days."
