Western Carolina Head Softball Coach Jim Clift today announced the 2020 Catamount softball schedule. A highlight of the season is a visit to Cullowhee by the Tennessee Lady Vols April 22 for a single game. WCU will have 12 home dates and play in four tournaments on the year. The Catamounts open the season Feb. 12 helping Clemson christen its new stadium in the Tigers' home opener and the first game in the program's history. After helping usher Clemson into NCAA Division I softball, Western Carolina will return home Feb. 25 to host Winthrop for a doubleheader. "We are looking forward to being part of softball history this year starting our highly competitive schedule with playing at Clemson in one of the first games in their program history and their new stadium," Clift said. "Those games have been sold out for months and will be broadcast on the ACC Network. It will be a great experience for our young squad." The schedule
