Football Empty stadiums worst case ?? I’m thinking that’s going to be best case scenario however I do know from talking to Speir and others in athletics and Catamount club they are all still planning for there to be a season with fans and are working on that like normal.

Unless the restrictions change dramatically in the next two months, I don't think we will see a reopening of WCU and a 2020 college football season. Which means a dramatic impact on WCU's athletics budget and NO new turf or any other improvements to our athletics facilities for quite some time. in addition, there could be a lot of low income housing available in Cullowhee as hundreds of those new off campus bedrooms are going to be vacant. It is a scary scenario to think about so...I'm going to think about a return to partial normalcy by July and college football by September. What do y'all think? My opinion is that there will be a season as long as we listen to the health professionals. I think by July, things will be back to close to normal as long as we listen to the health professionals and scientist and don’t rush to open everything back up too quickly. If we don’t listen to the experts, we will not have a season because the virus will come back with a vengeance and kill more people which will set us back.

Georgia just became the guinea pig for opening everything up. Time will tell

The bid for the turf is up on the WCU solicitations site, although it shows where bids were due yesterday I don't believe anything went up on the projects site until this week. Either way project completion is first of August.

I agree with your point but the downside of opening up too quickly is that things could be much worse than things are already economy wise. Also, I don’t want to get the disease and give it to some old person at church and kill them. Everyone is frustrated right now. Just my opinion. Do not want to start a fight. I am sure that these politicians making the decisions are basing it on data and not fear and emotion.
