Fair point but I’ve already heard several saying he graduated from WCU another fair point, he is not a WCU graduate.... (I agree that Alumnus should mean graduate, but unfortunately, Merriam-Webster did not consult with me on their definitions) Haha they need to be consulting with the experts beforehand! 😂

She is not going to just cater to football.

I think that the master plan published is a good road map for athletics to follow. I can't wait to see it implemented.

I disagree with the strategy but it’s what it is. Also so far Dr Brown has done nothing but talk so there is no money to spread out. If she is not willing to ask the state for bond money there will be no money for facilities. Western cannot raise the $40 million that is needed because we do not have the necessary base to do that. Plain and simple.

Plain and simple. Yes, there is nothing to spread right now. I don’t think you are going to see new bonds taken out. “MAYBE” when the current ones are paid off in 4-5 years. There’s a plan in place on top of the 3% increased student fees, if approved. She discussed that last weekend when i was up there.

This is what I have picked up from sources (her talks, significant donors, administrators), the total Master Plan has a price tag of well over $100 million. The first phase is about $60 million. She is willing to take on half of that with fees, indebtness, etc. but the other half will have to be private money. Hence the hiring of Alex Gary. I think she, unlike a couple unnamed predecessors, understands the impact that quality facilities can have on athletics success.
