Taken from the EKU athletic site "RICHMOND, Ky. – With the end of preseason camp nearing, Eastern held its second scrimmage on Saturday at Roy Kidd Stadium. EKU is continuing to explore all options to play football in the fall. Schedule information will be announced when it becomes available."

I don't understand why the athletic department is not putting out something definate like "We are NOT going to play in the fall" or "we are still scheduled for the the "out of conference" games.

The headline on the school athletics website indcates that it is a decision for both the SoCon and for WCU itself. The article could do a better job specifically saying non-con is canceled but that is what I got out of the release.

Maybe you should take the time to read the article as well as the headlines. "With new information being provided nearly every day over the past several weeks, we wanted to be patient in our decision making and give our student-athletes every opportunity to do what they love," said WCU Director of Athletics Alex Gary. "At the end of the day, there were too many variables that could negatively affect the health and welfare of our student-athletes. Not playing a full fall sports season at this point may be the best way to remove many of those variables." As well as the schedule on the athletic side lists all the conference games as postponed, but not the out of conference games. So, rather than what you said, it seems to still be up in the air.

Many programs are going to be financially challenged after all this. Not good at all .

That may answer why we still have a November date on the Liberty schedule and EKU has our game listed as "postponed."

That surprises me. One of my daughter’s goes to FSU, and they had to replace Samford with Jax State on the schedule. If you go to Samford’s website they show all games canceled. They are giving up a huge payday with FSU, but according to this we are going to try and go play EKU for nothing in a totally meaningless game?
