Should have no bearing on anything other than him enrolling at Western. Redshirt year was as already used at TCU. He had to graduate from his Juco to be aae to enroll at Western. At the time of the injury he was still in school and not finished academically. He may be a January 2021 enrollee. Weren't baseball players granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA, since the season was cut short? Was his RS at TCU a medical red shirt year? No, he redshirted at TCU his true freshman season. Then the next year he made 15 appearances at TCU as a redshirt freshman. He then transferred to the Juco(last year) and would have been a redshirt sophomore. One would think he took enough of courses to graduate from Juco last spring thus be eligible to have enrolled at Western either this fall(2020) or this spring (2021). Not sure that the extra year was for Juco Kids. We would need to check

We would need to check Looks Like Juco's could also receive and extra year at the juco but it could be risky to take it A Special Note for Junior College Athletes If an athlete is currently attending a junior college and receives an additional year of eligibility from the NJCAA or the CCCAA, be aware that the additional year might not be automatically honored by the NCAA (or NAIA) when a junior college athlete transfers to an NCAA or NAIA program. Also, academic eligibility at an NCAA program often depends upon the number of semesters that an athlete attended a junior college as a full-time student. Attending a two-year college for an additional year or semester could possibly have negative consequences on your academic eligibility when you transfer to join an NCAA athletic program.

I reached out to a good source, Brian Sawoski. His soures say he is at WCU
