Western Carolina baseball and head coach Bobby Moranda have made two changes to the Catamount assistant coaching staff with the addition of Andrew Cox as an assistant coach and pitching coach Taylor Sandefur, who is entering his third season on staff at his alma mater, elevated to head assistant coach while also heading the program's recruiting efforts.
Cox joined the Western Carolina baseball coaching staff as a second full-time assistant coach during the summer of 2020. He assumed the previously vacant staff position that was not filled before the COVID-19 abbreviated 2020 season. A former baseball student-athlete at Clemson, Cox comes to Cullowhee after spending two years at Furman as the volunteer assistant coach and director of baseball operations.
