Cruz contributing early for Western Carolina Cullowhee — (WLOS) When Kiley Hill took over the Western Carolina women's basketball program over the summer in 2019, one of his first objectives was to seek out winners. He and his staff zeroed in on high school players that come from successful programs, believing that knowing how to win was an important building block. Zanoria Cruz fit the bill. Coming from Lake Highland Prep in Florida, Cruz appeared in three straight state championship finals to end her career, winning it all as a senior. That knack for knowing what it takes to emerge victorious has already translated to the college game. wlos.com/sports/game-changer/cruz-contributing-early-for-western-carolina
