Jerry, it is difficult to watch Prosser’s 3 guard offense. If he does not make some changes in his starting lineup, it is going to be a long season. Instead of throwing up 3 point bricks, the guards need to drive toward the basket & draw fouls. The offense should be built around the inside game & not by throwing the basketball around by the guards. This game is very hard to watch. Western is certainly playing like the last-place team in the conference and trying to cement that place in the standings. Getting killed in rebounding, one and done when on offense, no second chance shots. Cork needs more help in rebounding. Prosser needs to have a 6’9” 6’8” & a 6’7” lineup on the floor at the same time. He could have his 6’8” freshman relieving the front three. Gibson should be rotating with Mason & Matt at the guard positions. Matt is a gunner & he will throw up 3 point bricks just about every time he gets the ball. Basketball is a big man’s game & teams that have size take high percentage shots & control the backboards on both ends of the court. Cork would be more effective if he had other players that would set picks for him when he gets the ball inside. As far as the guards are concerned, Mason & Matt are shooting guards & not point guards. That is one of the reasons why Mason has turned the ball over this season. Jerry, if you were the Head Coach at WCU, your team was getting killed on the boards would you have put in a bigger front line to counteract the size of your opponent?

How did we play overall. I’ve been traveling all day and only caught the last 50 seconds

Just my opinion and I realize that Faulkner scored a game-high 24 points, BUT - I feel his poor play in the first half is what put us behind most of those 20 points at halftime. Turnovers and missed shots with 0 offensive rebounds put us (AGAIN) in a deep hole. He seems to be a second-half player, and it's been that way the entire season.
That first half of ball was terrible, from the entire team - period.

How did we play overall. I’ve been traveling all day and only caught the last 50 seconds If you watched Saturday's game then you basically saw today's game. Tale of two different halves and two different teams. Down 45-25 at half and came roaring back in the second half then couldn't execute down the stretch. Cork missed a couple of key layups/put backs late in the game just like he did Saturday that ended up sealing our fate.

Everyone was cold in the first half. 30% shooting and 2-12 from the 3pt area.

Football = Run and Stop Run
Basketball = dominate inside-out

The CATS are fun and gun (like football offense)
WCU brings excitement. Opponents just win!
