I've got two from the Tams. A 1965 release of "I've been Hurt" and the 1968 release of "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy".
Both songs are popular beach music songs, especially in the American South, where the songs and the group enjoy continued popularity and recognizability, as do all of the hits by the group.

The Tremeloes - "Silence Is Golden"
"Silence Is Golden" was initially recorded by the American rock band the Four Seasons, but it was the side "B" of their mega hit "Ragdoll" in 1964. The Tremeloes' 1967 cover version reached number 1 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the US charts. The British band recorded their sound-alike version of "Silence is Golden" using the same arrangement as the original. In the U.S., Epic Records released the single, which reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was one of the top 100 songs of 1967. The song sold one million copies globally, earning gold disc status.

This is a departure from my usual, as it's country, but I really enjoy this song. "Austin" by Blake Shelton
It was released in April 2001 as Shelton's debut single from his self-titled debut album. "Austin" was also Shelton’s first number one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, spending five weeks at that position, and it managed to cross over to pop radio, as it peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"May I" first appeared on the Beach label, however, shortly thereafter the band signed with the Heritage label, and "May I" was re-released in early 1969, peaking at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Animals - "House Of The Rising Sun"
1964 - "The House of the Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song, sometimes called "Rising Sun Blues". It tells of a person's life gone wrong in the city of New Orleans. Many versions also urge a sibling or parents and children to avoid the same fate. The most successful commercial version, recorded in 1964 by the British rock band The Animals, was a number-one hit on the UK Singles Chart and in the US and Canada.

Bobby Goldsboro - his most successful hit was "Honey", but my favorite Goldsboro song remains "With Pen In Hand" from 1968.
