Projected Pitching Rotation: Fri.: WCU – Soph. RHP Zebby Matthews (4-1, 3.19) vs. WOF – Jr. LHP Hayes Heinecke (2-4, 4.42) Sat., Gm 1: WCU – Jr. RHP Ryan Mitschele (2-1, 3.91) vs. WOF – Fr. LHP Sam Stratton (1-1, 2.25 ERA) Sat., Gm 2: WCU – Fr. RHP Corey Bright (0-0, 5.40) vs. WOF – Sr. RHP Elliot Carney (3-2, 3.58) Gavin Mortenson has been the starter in Game 2's so far. He was removed from the Citdogs Game 2 after being hit by a line drive. Apparently, there is some lingering negative effect from that. I hope his recovery will be quick. He has done a fine job considering that he is a natural Freshman.

I hope the runs add up a little more today. We stranded 13 last night compared to their 4. That's tough because it's a game we should have won. ERA of todays Wofford pitcher is lower than yesterday's. No radio or TV today - just live stats.

Jim, sorry I missed the question. Looks like the last time he's played was against St. Johns on March 14. I haven't heard anything thing about him or why he not playing. His bat is being missed in the starting 9. Thanks for the response. Announcer on the broadcast last night said he’d been hit by a pitch in practice and was in concussion protocol

Thanks, 1911 for the update. I watched most of the game yesterday but missed that.

I don't understand why the athletic department keeps everyone in the dark, about almost everything.
Obviously, this was not a secret, and in one of the baseball write-ups, it could have easily been mentioned some time ago. They just don't want fans to know or just don't care about keeping the fans informed. I don't understand it.

He kept us informed & very little was hidden from the fans. He was just good & he was an outstanding man. When he was on the Radio he covered the on the field action & did not spout a bunch of stats like Hooker constantly does on the Radio. Hooker spends most of his time covering for the coaches. You could ask Steve a question and he would give you an answer without hesitation. I would give almost anything if we could have a Steve White Jr. as the AD. I have known Steve since 1964 & I can not think of one negative thing about him. He was Mister Catamount & still is the voice of the Catamounts to me.
