I sure don’t want to hear that one of Justin’s complaints is lack of depth on the inside game. I think the new coach is making a huge mistake by not keeping Ahmir. Kicking a 6’8” player off the team makes no sense to me.

My guess is Gray wasn't willing to take chances or player develop with his first head job seeing how he's filed the roster with experienced/juco players. Ahmir can PLAY, if not at WCU then somewhere else. Don't forget he was highly recruited out of high school and is getting a lot of interest in the portal.

Want it be funny if he ends up at UNCA. lol. Why would that be funny? In an ironic sense, it is funny. You run a player off and he goes to one of your rivals and starts and then you have to play his new team twice a year and you know he will be ultra-motivated to show you what a mistake you made for running him off. Sucks for Western, but it is poetic justice. I thought Langlais had the skill set to start for us, but obviously Coach Gray knows best.

We usually just play Asheville once during the season.

In my opinion, he played well when he was in the games for us and I thought he would have an inside shot to take some of Corks minutes and be a good SoCon player. I would think that a guy as heavily recruited as Langlais out of HS would be able to start for UNCA. I stand corrected that we do not play them twice a year. He will be a starter somewhere eventually. I hope it is not UNCA, but if it is, we did it to ourselves.

I thought not. So how can you say "we did it to ourselves" based on message board chatter that you don't even know who's doing the posting. Hell, it could have been a boone goon. I don't understand running down a new head coach BEFORE he's even coached his first game. You have no knowledge that he was told he should leave by the new coach. Maybe he was, but it's just as possible it was entirely his own decision. Maybe the two took an instant dislike of each other, maybe Langlais doesn't like Cullowhee, who knows his reason. Until I knew, I wouldn't form opinions based on rumors.
