I think the way this years SoCon tournament is set up. Its identical to an NCAA Regional format. Here is my thinking, hopefully WCU will be in hit mode and pitching will at least be good enough to subdue the other teams enough where our hitting can dominate. Get the first 2 games and then we are in the driver's seat. Even if that means throw the kitchen sink the first 2 to get those wins. Yes, same format as a 4-team regional, double elimination. If you win the first two, you wait until a previous loser emerges from the loser's bracket and must beat you twice. |
