Tough loss. So near to the end for the Win.
SoCon ranked 9th. Our team earned a bid with their play. You think they give our boys a chance to show their stuff in regional play !

This might be the first time I take up for coach MO. What bullpen pitcher would you have brought in? I think he got as much out of his pitching staff that he could. If we did not have the injured pitchers that we have this tournament would have been ours. I am so proud of this team including the coaching staff.

Congratulations Baseball Catamounts!
You were in the championship game. Let's see it seems to me were have been more competitive over the years in baseball. We have won conference regular season and tournaments. We have played in regional tournaments.
I believe the baseball has more titles and fought for titles than our football or basketball by far!
Congratulations Coach!

Campbell pitched a great game but ran out of gas.
Do not understand why Moranda brought in Snyder. He had nothing in the tank after 102 pitches on Thursday as starter and then 46 more pitches in relief last night.
We made a great run, given our pitching limitations and other adversity.
Look forward to next year. Bigbie and Luke will be gone, but nearly everyone else will be back... with a year of good experience under their belt.

Woodie....It was a pretty good atmosphere in Greenville, but nothing like the tournaments in the 90s and 00s in Charleston. We simply ran out of pitching. If Zebby and Mitchele had been able to pitch, it would have been a different story. We have got to keep Ferreras (big schools will be going after him via the transfer portal) and come up with a couple more pitchers. Ferreras is our best shortstop since Wayne Tolleson. On another subject, Baseball has got to do something about the pace of games...4 1/2 hours on Thursday night followed by a 5 1/2 hour game. I don't mind it because I don't have anything to do and I enjoy talking to other fans, but the potential fan base has ants-in-their-pants. Just sayn'

His “re-recruitment “ should have commenced around 3:00 yesterday if we’re smart. (I guarantee he caught the eye of the Tennessee coaches; to name but one potential suitor).

Last night Hooker said that at some point the Socon head coaches had voted to give the higher seed the designated home team status throughtout the tournament. That put Samford in the position to be able to walk-off Mercer twice.

The "Free Transfer" just approved by the NCAA could really cause an upheaval in college athletics during the coming year.
The rich are going to get richer and....(you know the rest)....
