I guess we know who our starting QB is. This kid started for Harvard the last 2 years. I think I know who will be our starting QB.....it will be the best player Coach Bell determines to be the starter. This Harvard player no doubt is hoping he will have a chance at the starting job, but I think he will have to earn the position just as the others will.

As you probably know, Clayton Frady played at Smoky Mountain High before signing with Gardner-Webb. I saw him Sunday at church. 6=5, 290. He picked Virginia Tech over Duke, New Mexico and App State. Outstanding young man. Might just end up in the NFL.

You are correct of course but if you look at pedigrees, how does a kid Like this not shine if given a chance to play. I guess the All American linebacker out of Austin Peay will have to prove himself too. We don’t have any All American Linebackers on the roster now so I bet he plays. Harvard always has some good players and this kid had good numbers at Harvard. On paper, if given a fair shot, I would expect him to start. What would be the point on wasting a scholarship on a kid for one or two years to ride the pine.
