Talk about a break out season. Not only has he had his best season in the minors stats wise, promoted 3 times and now is ranked as the Tigers #21 ranked prospect in there farm system. Congrats to Justice Bigbie. Here's to hoping we see him make his MLB debut soon.

I might be wrong, but I believe they start making some decent money in triple A.

I might be wrong, but I believe they start making some decent money in triple A. Once you get passed low-A/high-A, that's when you see a noticeable increase in pay.
They actually just increased pay for all levels.
For rookies, salary will rise from $4,800 to $19,800. Low Class A, salaries will grow from $11,000 to $26,200 High Class A will grow from $13,800 to $27,300. Triple-A players will go from $17,500 to $35,800.
Not sure about double A

Man - talk about a huge difference between baseball and football. Assuming that is annual salaries that @wcubrethren posted, compare that to what I posted about practice-squad players in the NFL. I beleive first-year guys who make it onto an NFL team's practice squad can make $216k if they stay on the roster all 18 weeks of the regular season.

Nice read on Justice Bigbie. Very good chance we could see him in the big leagues very soon.
