Well, it looked like this then - sitting at the old main entrance to WCU

July - 1969. My parents forced me to go on vacation with the family when I was entering my junior year of high school. I wanted to stay home and go to the beach in Florida. That vacation changed my life. My parents didn't know anything about WCU. We got lost by my dad taking a shortcut between Rosman and Cullowhee (NC 281). Go Cats!

Sometime in 2018 or 19...I didn't attend WCU, and didn't become familiar with the school until our daughter was getting serious about colleges (she started at WCU in Fall 2019). I love that sign. I do like the new signage at the front too.

1975 my Senior year in High School. Came up for the App game, stayed with some friends from my home town that were students. I had narrowed my choice of schools between WCU and app, when The Cats beat the goons that weekend and the great time I had in the Whee, the decision was made. One that I've never regretted!! GO CATS!!

It would be neat if we could locate these 2 coeds and reinact this picture today. How old would they be?

It would be neat if we could locate these 2 coeds and reinact this picture today. How old would they be? Well - we became WCU in '68 - right? So if this is from that year - certainly before 1970 - they would be 72 or 73 now.
