I see depending on what top 25 you look at Mercer is ranked 20th. So 3rd straight week of playing a ranked opponent. GW was 25 when we played them. UTC was 19 and not Mercer at 20. No one can say we don't play a hard schedule

Furman @ Wofford - Paladins by 2 points. (For some reason, no line was found on this game. I did find one computer pick that said FU by 1.93 points).

There are some really important SoCon games coming up. VMI plays Mercer this coming week, and still have ETSU on the schedule a couple of weeks out. Mercer still also has Chatty and ETSU after they play the Keydets. And ETSU still has all of the teams with 0 or 1 conference loss.
I was impressed/surprised by VMI beating Chatty this past weekend, as I thought UTC might have righted the ship. I know Citadel has been struggling, but wasn't expecting that big of a beatdown by the Bucs. The good news for us is we still have the teams who have been performing the worst this season left on the schedule. It would be a really big thing for the Cats to hopefully get a little healthier and find a way to get a win or two. It would make a world of difference for these kids (and staff) to have some success, and for a change our bye is happening at a good time for us rather than really early or really late.
