With Howard now not going to the CAA, the CAA is a little less strong, and their expansion is now crumbling. Maybe some of the CAA will now reconsider the SoCon...

As the CAA proactively targets northern schools (and Hampton?) amidst negative national exposure, multiple sources have hinted at a southern basketball-focused exodus. This map shows two football programs being added... Elon and William & Mary. Total of 11 And two non-football schools being added... UNC-Wilmington and College of Charleston. With UNC-G, that would make 3 schools without football. Grand total of 14 in the conference. This would cause us to get our basketball program in gear or get used to 1-25 SoCon record every year. (One win over The Citadel might be feasible.) |
