39 runs today ain't too shabby. The Cats with Bats can hit Niagara's starting pitching on Friday was good. 1st game, their starter left after 5 innings with a 2-2 score. They had no other pitching behind the starter. Game 3, their starter left after 5 innings and they were leading 3-2. We crushed their relief pitching. Niagara's starting pitchers did their job.

END 5TH - WCU 8, Niagara 5
Tristen Campbell fans two to give him three Ks out of the bullpen in tossing a 1-2-3 top half; Catamounts loaded the bases, push across two runs on an HBP and a walk to lead by three thru five.

If we average 20+ RPG we might be alright this year. However we don’t get to play Niagara or have me pitch against them every week. But I’ll take any win

If we average 20+ RPG we might be alright this year. However we don’t get to play Niagara or have me pitch against them every week. But I’ll take any win On paper this team looks much improved over last year. Pitching should be better and hitting should be at least as good as last year. The infield seems strong. If our pitching stays healthy, I don’t know why we would not be a strong contender for the regular season and conference titles. Tired of hearing about the Wofford chokers. I believe if we handle Wofford which I believe we will that we win the regular season. I know that Niagara is by far not the strongest team we will face but this is a great early season test that will help Coach figure some things out for the season. What I do not understand and never have is why don’t we sit all the starters once we get a huge lead in these games and put in an entire new lineup and get some younger kids some playing time so that they can get better. Coach Mo seems to not do that much.
