Spartans cut the Catamount lead in half with another two-spot in the top of the frame; Immanuel Wilder with a lead-off double, Bryson Parks plates him on a run-scoring triple down the first-base line to push the lead to seven thru six.

We have improved since the last time we played them. This weekend against Mercer will tell us "if" we have improved, or just how bad we are, no middle ground. Comparing how we performed against Upstate the last time we played, we have improved. Mercer is a very good team and better than Upstate and Western RPI wise. If we can win one game against Mercer, I think that will be a step forward. You never know in baseball on any given day. We may get swept or or we might win the series. If we don’t get blown out and play them tight like we did against ETSU, I will take that as progress. |
