It's been awhile since we've had a two sport athlete. They're rare these days.

Not that long Garrett Brown football and baseball , Keion Crossen football and track and field and, Tyrie Adams football and track and field. Garrett only did both sports his freshman and senior year though. I believe Keion participated in both his senior year. Tyrie participated in both his first three years at western.

Cut my Catamount teeth watching Wayne Tolleson tear it up, so he’s the gold standard for me. Written up in SI as a wide receiver - with the rest of the ‘77 Cats - then went on to a long MLB career.

My mistake in the original post was not keeping track and field in mind. It's harder than most people think to make a D1 roster in one sport, much less two, and to be really good in two sports is something else. Statistically, though, it seems like fewer athletes are giving it a try. There are probably lots of reasons for that.

Easy.............JERRY GAINES Nope going with EJ (Eric Johnson). Gonna give him the slight edge. If you saw him play in 99 you understand. EJ was 2 time all American in football and drafted in 3rd by the Indians and played on Bears practice squad.
