UNCG beat Wofford twice today, including one game halted after 7 by the run-rule.
Greensboro had to play 7 games and Wofford only played 4, including the 2 games today.
Congratulations to Coach Goodwin and the Spartans. They got hot toward the end of the season.

I know the coach is unpopular on here, but the Terriers got hosed. Also, it would've been good for the SoCon to have two teams in there.

Our sweep of Mercer probably knocked them out. They won 40 games, including mid-week wins over GA Tech and Florida State.
Either Wofford or Mercer should have been selected..
Wofford's swoon in the tournament apparently did them in. No way Greensboro should have manhandled them as they did.

Ole Miss backing in with a lower RPI and strength of schedule than Wofford is the same ole song and dance

Coming into Sunday, #1 seed Wofford had played one game on Friday and one game Saturday. Win one game on Sunday, take the trophy and wait to see what Regional you play in.
Contrast that to #4 seed Greensboro...
Played one game on Wednesday; two games on Friday and two games on Saturday. Got to beat (well-rested) Wofford twice on Sunday. How much pitching could they have left?
Results? Greensboro boatraced Wofford 10-2 and 12-2 with the second game being called after 7 innings due to 10-run mercy rule.
I am laughing my head off as I write this, which is an indicator of my feelings toward Wofford and their slimeball coach.
