Welp, UNCG was sent packing without a run, and as best I can tell all the bubble teams that edged out Wofford were also roughed up pretty good. A downer of a weekend for SoCon fans.

I watched (underdog) Texas State battle (giant) Stanford last night for the last undecided Regional winner. Could have cried when Stanford walked off in the bottom of the ninth. 1-1 after 8 innings. Top of 9th, Texas State scored 2 runs. Bottom of 9th, first two batters for Stanford hit HR's. Third batter doubled and fourth batter knocked him in. What a heartbreaker...  |

Some great Super Regional matchups this weekend. 3 of the 8 involve ACC vs SEC.
I hope that ECU finally makes it to Omaha. Keith LeClair's dream...
Furthermore, I hope they do that Coastal Carolina did when they finally made it for the first time.

Ole Miss survived and is going to Super Regional. I considered them one of those "bubble teams". BTW, that's going to be a heckuva Super Regional with Ole Miss going down to Hattiesburg to play Southern Miss. Lots of emotion will be coming out down there. |

I remember some hot contests when we played in those Mississippi State regionals, too |
