We have been here before. I know Bell expects to win, and I hope he does but as I said, we have been here before. I hope we do better than 5 but who knows. I think our offense will put up points but with an inexperienced rookie DC, and losing all our linebackers from last year, I think our defense will be porous. We should outscore some teams though. I hope I am wrong and have to eat crow but on paper our defense looks like the weak link. As I said, we have been here before with an inexperienced DC and the results were not good. I just hope if we do not win that Coach Bell does not get frustrated. I know he says that we will win championships but until we do, it is just talk.

FLCAT - I hear you. At the same time, we finished 4th last season and I fully expect the team to be better because 1) the staff has had an actual chance to prepare the team for this season unlike having to come in and rush things last year and 2) I truly believe Coach Bell when he says he feels the roster has more of the talent-level he is looking for.
It may not mean we do any better in terms of wins, and how Davis plays in leading our offense will be just as important as how our defense progresses/gets better. But I believe we will field a better team this season and truly am looking forward to continued improvement as long as Bell is in Cullowhee.
