Was watching the game yesterday. That was one of the most awesome comebacks one could imagine. Especially the 9th innning.
The announcers said that Wofford is 21-0 this year when leading after 7 innings. At the end of 7, they were leading 9-5.
3-run HR in the 8th made it 9-8. Opposite field dinger by Drew Needham off a submarine pitcher.
In the 9th, our first two batters made out. Then a single with 2 strikes on the batter. Another single with 2 strikes. Then the double off the LF wall... also with 2 strikes on the batter. You could not write a script any better than that.

He came out of yesterday's game in the late innings

Final - 19-6 Wofford  Well, that was ugly. Not going to win many games that you give up 9 runs in a single inning, but that's just my humble opinion. Wish it had been closer, but at least we did not get swept!!! |
