We doubled our run production in game 2 and cut way down on the errors. Both positives. I got a chance to be at the 2nd game last weekend. We started slow, but worked our way into a respectable game against a strong ACC opponent. I thought that Ryan White was strong defensively. He pitched 3 innings, allowed 3 hits, 1 run, and 1 walk. He has an interesting delivery. Each pitch he leans forward and touches (or nearly touches) the dirt with the ball, then stands up and pitches. FSU had 5000 attending the game with a pretty good student following. Every time Ryan was getting ready to pitch, students would yell "SQUAT" as White dropped to set up the pitch. Kind of funny, but got annoying as he delivered 44 pitches. My wife (a physical therapist) speculated that he does that as reverse movement to the actual pitch, possibly preventing injury. Can anyone clear that up? I was with a buddy of mine and his wife. They are big baseball fans, and neither of us had ever seen that routine before.
