When was the last time we had or took an open 3?

The SoCon got what they wanted. The refs fixed it and we go home again.

We were not even in the bonus in the second half.

Honestly not surprised by the outcome. I had a bad feeling going into the game

We were not even in the bonus in the second half. I'm done with the SoCon. I will not post anymore about any SoCon related games - when the Cats are playing out of conference, I'll post, but in conference, somebody better pick up the slack or this will be a very dead board.

I feel like in our last two games we were subbing players around way more often than we did today

I'm sorry this post is so long, but I have a lot to get off my chest about tonight.
First off, I could not be more proud of the team and the season that the Cats have had! They played their hearts out all year, and you could tell that they wanted to win for each other.
Hats off to Furman. I'm not a fan of theirs, but they played a solid game and had a good plan to keep Woolbright in check.
The Southern conference should be appalled by the caliber of officiating that was in Asheville on Saturday. It's going to sound like sour grapes, but from start to finish the officiating was just plain pathetic. I realize it's tournament play, and you want players to decide the outcome of games and not officials, but the lack of calling blatant fouls, missing traveling violations, and letting the game get out of control in the first half, set the stage for the night. I mean you cannot tell me that a team does not commit a single foul in 15 minutes of play. Furman did not have a team foul until right at the 5-minute mark remaining in the first half. Just disgraceful.
The Cats had a lot of success down the stretch of the regular season with constantly rotating the big guys. Why did Coach Gray not sub in Granger, Pelote, or Williams in the last 14 minutes of the game? He left Lampton in the last 10 minutes of regulation, and all of overtime. I just don't understand this. Pelote and Granger were both playing very well, and contributing on both ends of the floor. Then to completely abandon them down in crunch time, that's a real head scratcher. I don't usually get real critical of coaching decisions, but Coach Gray completely let the team down by not subbing Lampton out at all.
I sincerely hope we get to see the Cats play more basketball this year, because this is a season for the record books. I am more than disappointed that we will not be going to the NCAA tournament. We are long long overdue, and I thought this was the year. Just heartbroken about this for the team, the university, and all of the fans.
Rant over, time for bed. Go Cats!

I was wrong, Lampten was subbed out the last 2:45 of overtime, but no Granger, Pelote, or Williams. I wanted to correct my inaccurate previous post
