Do you think with the success that Rodgers Brothers has had on Old Cullowhee rd and the success that Catamount Jaxe has had across the street that other big land developers will take notice that if you build it they will come?

Most of the developers I know can’t stand working with Jackson County. It may he different now but for years they have. Talked about how awful the county is to work with.

The simple answer is YES. The difficult part is finding an equity partner. Google the "Cullowhee Vision Plan" or "Cullowhee Small Area Plan" and then lets make our dreams come true!!!

I sure hope they can clean up the area and make it beautiful. In the 70's and 80's, it was the hub of Cullowhee. Bel-Harbor Inn, Hardee's, Pizza Hut, Speedy's, Jimmy's Mini Mart, the gas station and stereo shop were all in a quarter mile stretch from campus entrance to the other side of the river. Oh - and who can forget the head shop just up the hill?
