There is talk that the Mountain West are looking at NDSU. I would welcome them leaving

I'd think the Dakota schools would want to go together. NDSU and SDSU of course have the titles, but I think the two of them along with UND and USD make a good grouping but might be hard to fit that many into one of the G5 leagues all at once.
