Furman just beat the Bucs. Only need to do a couple of victory formations to run out the clock. Samford is also beating UTC. The Cats might be alone in second place after this one.
Well - I guess we also need to not give up a ton of long TD runs and hang on to win this one first!

I know we are up big but the team has let off the gas on offense and got soft on defense. These mistakes is what cost us games this year against better teams

This one may be a little different, as it looks like (at least on D) we are playing a bunch of other guys. But can't argue that we have certainly blown some big leads this year. It would be nice to see a few more points, tighter defense, and getting to play other guys.

Samford pulling away from UTC now - it is 35-13. Certainly isn't going to be an easy game to finish the season.

Win next week and we are alone in 2nd place in the SOCON and we have another winning, 7-win season. I still think we would be short even if Mercer somehow lost and we were co-champs (Mercer would be the auto-bid with the head-to-head). Obviously we needed to do this on the field - the Campbell loss keeps getting bigger and bigger (or maybe worse and worse) every week, and not doing what we needed to last week hurts more and more. But as I heard on the game coverage today, let's get to 6 SOCON wins for the first time in program history!
6-2 in the SOCON and 2-2 in OOC was what I was really hoping we could get to. So as dissapointing as a couple of these losses are still a lot to play for next week in a place that has been very tough on us in the past.
