Agree with being there. I am a Western Carolina fan win or lose. If we win out and Chatt loses to Austin Peay we are in. No way Chatt gets a bid over us if they lose the last game of the season and we win out. Even if we do not get a bid or win out, I am still a fan and will support my school.

Same here GaCat and FLCatamount. I go to all home games and pretty much all of the away games. Win or lose, favored or not, I am there. I’m a Cat Club member and NIL contributor. I believe in the program I want to do everything I can to support the kids and program always. Disappointed sometimes, sure, but I’ll always support the program and never give up on those kids that work their tails off year round.

I'm not so certain about Chatt. Even if they lose against Peay, they will only have 3 FCS loses, where we will have 4 (if we win out, which isn't a guarantee). If WCU can get to 7-5, we need several things to happen in our favor. Not impossible, but in order to be in the conversation, we need to go blow the doors off of VMI and Samford. I'm not usually an advocate for running up the score on teams, but in our current situation, we need to win both games left on our schedule by a minimum of 21 pts.

Well, we better play a QB who does not fumble and throw interceptions and near interceptions. I don't see us blowing out any of our last games. We are not going to any playoffs...not this year. Let's pray Cole gets healthy for next year!

Cole is a very good qb, but talking like Taron can't play is silly. He threw for five scores against Chatt and accounted for three more last week. Yes, he makes some mistakes, but he's been asked to go from 0 to 60 on the D1 level overnight, which is a very tall order. I doubt many could've done better, particularly at his age.
With play calling better suited to his size and abilities, I think we win last week's game going away.

We may not get in, but if Chatt loses to AP and we win out, we will be in 3rd place in the conference and Chatt will be in 4th place in the conference. We beat Chat head to head so no way Chatt can logically get a bid unless they have a guy on the selection committee that cheats for them. That head to head win has to trump all if we have the same record and finish higher in the conference.

Keep in mind my reply was to wcugamer2's comment of us needing blowouts against VMI and Samford and that I don't see that happening with a fumble prone QB. That horrible int. in the end zone before the half last week was not a bad play call...it was totally poor decision and execution. Just being realistic...not silly...we don't have the current QB to produce blowouts. We are not going to any playoffs this year. We might have if Cole had stayed healthy.

I stand corrected, the Chatt AD is on the selection committee so even if Chatt loses their last 2 games, he will lobby for them and put us down. It is Mark Wharton and he is definitely a Homer for Chatt. We can’t buy a break. The committee members are: Kent Haslam: AD at Montana, Big Sky Conference Brian Hardin: AD at Drake, Pioneer Football League Tom Michael: AD at Eastern Illinois, Big South-OVC Mark Wharton: AD at Chattanooga, Southern Conference Matt Larsen: AD at North Dakota State, Missouri Valley Football Conference Mark Benson: AD at UAlbany, Coastal Athletic Association Steve Moniaci: AD at Houston Christian, Southland Conference Thomas Pincince: AD at CCSU, Northeast Conference Edward Kull: AD at Fordham, Patriot League Gerald Harrison: AD at Austin Peay, United Athletic Conference

Chatt kind of snuck in last year. I'd say you need to be an 8-win team in a 12-game schedule. So if UTC loses another game I don't think they make it. And of course that also says we won't make it, either. We can finish 6-2 in the SOCON, but the Campbell game kind of doomed anything less than a 7-1 league record from keeping us away from the playoffs (again).
At this stage, for the conference's sake ETSU and Chatt need to win out to get 3 teams in. And we need to win the last 2 so ETSU's win over us still looks good.
