Good riddance. Must have been a very poor design to begin with. Stillwell was built in the 50s and Western was able to remodel it. This ugly monstrosity was built in the seventies and it is unsalvageable. It never matched the campus and had plumbing problems from day 1 I understand. Hopefully the new building will last longer than 45 years.

Does anyone know what this is coming down in Cullowhee? Are we sure that is in Cullowhee? I do not recognize the white building on the right side.

Starting in the fall of 1961, ate many Fried Apple Pies (heated up) in the mornings served by Ona Bee Fox. Also ate a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches, egg sandwiches (pronounced "Agg Samiches" by one waitress) "Yankee" Dogs with Cherry Cokes. Still see and talk with Mr. Ashe, the manager/part owner, at Ingles. The juke box played constantly. Cooney was a regular visitor to the back room where we traded info about tests and exams. Pressley & Angel (Clarence and Pat) Barber Shop was next door and later in the 60s the Varsity Shop is where you could buy Madras shirts and khakis.
