Congratulations to Preston Hatcher, Cody Jones, Morgan McKinney and Tyler White! They have been voted Captains of our 2013 WCU BASEBALL TEAM! Good cross-section... A starting pitcher; a relief pitcher; an outfielder and an infielder.

Top 10 pre-season = 5 SEC and 4 Pac-12. North Carolina is the only "ringer".
Of the teams listed in "Other Teams Receiving Votes", IF the order in which they are listed implies the # of votes received, then Chuck is #1 and we are #2; followed by App and Ga. Southern.

Good post. Thanx. I've been checking SE Baseball website every day or so. sebaseball.rivals.com/ Do you have any idea when something will show up there? They seem to be dragging badly. Most of the stuff posted there goes back to last Spring's tournaments and regionals.

Good post. Thanx. I've been checking SE Baseball website every day or so. sebaseball.rivals.com/ Do you have any idea when something will show up there? They seem to be dragging badly. Most of the stuff posted there goes back to last Spring's tournaments and regionals. Last year Mark's had a bad house fire and was not able to write much. I asked him how he was going to do it this year and he said, "The plan is to write a few stories a week leading up to the season on various topics. Will do some team specific stuff - but most of the stories will have more of a broad appeal with info with several teams/topics."Here is little bit from preview, Samford, College of Charleston, and Appalachian St all made a regional in 2012 marking the 2nd time in 3 years the SoCon has placed 3 teams in the NCAA Tournament. Heading into 2013 any of the top 6 teams could win the conference regular season title and it would not surprise many people. There is very little difference between the #1 team..................................
