15-3. We playing any freshman in this game? Made a lot of substitutions in Game 3, but Jordan Smith (starter) went 7 innings. Alex Barr (FR) pitched the 8th. Taylor Sandefur (seldom used this year due to arm trouble) pitched the 9th. But we had a 9-2 lead after 7 innings in first game of DH and nearly lost the game. In the 8th inning, they had the leading run at the plate; in the 9th inning, they had the tying run at the plate. Greensboro got a lot of hits this weekend. More than us in Games 1 and 2 of the series. But our starting pitching did a good job of scattering them. Hatch is now the CAREER SAVE leader with 23, picking up #13 in the first game today. He had 10 saves last year. |

The Cats take two today, 10-7 and 15-5 for the sweep of UNCG. Cats have swept 3 in a row, tow series remaining (Wofford and Appy State). And Georgia Southern helps us by smacking E-Loan 15-4 and 12-4 so far this weekend. Series finale tomorrow in Stateboro. Thanx, Rodney! CitDogs remain tied with us in the loss column. They have three more series remaining (Davidson, Chuck and UNCG). We only have 2 more series remaining. |
