Citadel football coach Kevin Higgins will leave after nine years at the military school to take an assistant coaching job at Wake Forest, The Post and Courier has learned. Higgins had a record of 43-58 in nine seasons at The Citadel, with two winning seasons -- 7-4 in 2007 and 7-4 again in 2012. Last season, the Bulldogs went 5-7. www.postandcourier.com/article/20131216/PC20/131219563/1032/citadel-football-coach-kevin-higgins-leaving-for-wake-forest-players-in-shock
Higgins probably saw the writing on the wall, as the 2014 season would have the final season on Higgins' current contract at The Citadel. I'm sure that unless he had a major turn around (not probable), 2014 would have been his last.

Here's hoping this coaching change has negative effects on the Bulldogs for next season. We need any edge to improve our chances of picking up a win from them.
